I have been looking into using ofrced induction on my 82' 300. Im in debate on which one to use. I was leaning towards the SC b/c i have actually seen pics of it done my this engine. I love a turbo on a inline engine however. Does anyone have any info on tubro charging a 300? Also what would be the route that I would have to take in terms of intake, turbo, exhaust, ect..?

A turbo on a 300 in a truck would be EASY!!! Just get a header flange made up using a stock gasket as a template. Order up 3 or 4, 14 gauge 1 5/8" U-bends, and start welding. The important part to remember how a turbo system works while you're designing how all the piping is laid out.
If that Bronco has a carb then the 450 CFM Holley is the way to go and just get a carb hat and blow through that carb. With a carb the real important thing is fuel pressure. You MUST do some sort of boost referencing to increase fuel pressure as boost increases. So if the standard normally aspirated fuel pressure is 6psi, then if you want 10lbs. of boost, you'll need the fuel pressure to increase up to 16lbs.
PM me if you need anything. I can get you flanges for everything.

Just resurrecting an old thread here, but with the majority of the information that I have read reguarding the Inline six (300) in a truck, no matter what you really do, all you are gonna do is create alot more torque.

My question would be if adding a Turbo were as easy as you say it is, is this gonna give the truck more torque, So I can really drag that heavy tree? Or will this give me some speed, like 14 sec down the quarter mile(with the proper uprades, 3.83 gears, etc...)

Quick question though, with a blow thru setup, would a front mount intercooler be nessary? I know my truck has loads of room for something like that.

I seen that this tread is as old as dirt but does anyone have a picture of what this will look like. I'm lost for plumbing. An what will all that cost?
