Hi! I have a Question? My stated Goal is this.To assemble a Turboed ford big block six,That best suits my need's. It will replace a tired 460 in a 1983 HD 250,with a C6.I'm replaceing the floating axel rear with a Franklin Quick Change floating axel Disk braked rear unit. It's job will be to pull a 6000lb Air Stream anywhere I want to go,Snowy mountain passes, long desert flats,Unmarked backroads. From KeyWest to prdue Bay and back, and a lot of side road rambleing in between. First it need's to be reliable, second it need's to be fuel efficent.Time is on my side ,I can sit and squat untill I can afford another tank of gas,no matter how high it get's.Over the years i've accumalated quite a pile of parts to choose from.#1 Roller cam that can be recut to a turbo grind.#2Roller rocker's ,1.6 ratio.1.75 ratio.#3Roller lifters to be aquired.#4-300 steel crank,2 cast 300 cranks.2 240 cast cranks.#51 BB6 Block bored .030 over ,O ringed. #6Full ARP stud set head, rod main.#7Coyels timeing set +0_ settings.#8 Holleyman&Moody intake.Offy dual intake,Clifford intake. Holley 390,edelbrock 1405, holley 650,RayJay Turbo, with draw thru box for low boost,Holset blowthru setup for higher boost. My inclinations are towards building a draw thru 240,low on power high on efficency, and use ing the quick change to match my loads.I'm Caught in the Delima of wondering ,(What If.)This parts match aginst that parts match?IWould like Input,Pro's and Cons.I've read ,& formed a respect for the knowledge of diferent viewpoints of contributors to this forum. They are many and great.Except for one tiny point with (Lazy JW) my most admired contributor. And I quote,If any one can show me a turboed motor that can be more efficent than??? ,where would milage and effency fall, high boost 240,low boost 300. Thank You anyone for your View and input. FREEFLI !!!!!!!!
