I got my stock 1 bbl to work real good now. Since I have a extra intake and two more 1 bbl carters, I was wondering if any one has tryed on a 300 what has been done to a 200 log intake here: http://inlinefever.homestead.com/RamAir.html
I think 3 1bbls are 1 too many when trying to get it to idle, plus I do want a decent MPG. I think two YF's would be ideal.
What has really got me puzzled is where to place the carbs on the intake.
I am worried about the distrabution between different cylinders. I know hudson did this factory (2 1bbl carbs) and wonder does anyone know how they placed theres. I am thinking if I mount them right at cylinders #2 and #5 that it might give 2 and 5 more fuel then they need with all other being too lean.
I belive I am going to try 1 carb between #2 and #3 and another between #4 and #5. I belive this is best.
I am even considering spliting the intake in half, kind of a dual plane intake. Surey someone has done this before, anyone?
