Universal Carb Hard starting when hot?

Hi, I have a 200 with the universal carb. When it is warmed up it is hard to start and floods. It ran OK until I put the larger original air cleaner on it and hooked up the heater hose to the carb base. Any ideas? Thanks

First thing I would check is your needle and seat for wear next is the float level setting. Both of these if not right can cause the symptoms you describe. Good luck

Don't run the heater hose through the base. It's getting too hot.

Possibly too much fuel pressure???
