Vacuum Gauge/Timing Question...

For tuning purposes, can I simply hook a vacuum gauge up the rubber hose that is my vacuum line coming out of my carb? I would simply disconnect the hose from the dizzy and plug that into the actual gauge itself?

You might be better with manifold vacuum off the log. It'll possibly be more even. Also, which carb do you have - one with an SCV?

Leaving the vacuum feed to your ignition means you can plot vacuum against timing...
