Vacuum makeover

I have a 1980 mustang with the 200, the engine bay looks like a mess with all the vacuum hoses running everywhere on top of the motor. Does anyone know how I would go about cleaning it up and making it look neater? Or do I just not do it? Thanks in advance! :help: :help:

You could maybe group them into neat bundle's as long as you keep them routed so they function the same for emissions. You could also use steel or stainless tube for the main lines with short rubber lines at the end, their are some colored vacume lines available too. Good luck

You need a factory EVTM, electrical vacuum troubleshooting manual.
They were changing up those systems often it would seem, there are a lot of variations.

You can get them on ebay or on various sites that have pdfs, try four-eyed pride.
Also there are these:

The other option is to pull everything and run without any of it.
I use vacuum only for the dizzy and the brakes. Everything else is gone.

Good for you not just jerkin them off for "looks".
They were engineered in for specific purposes and some knowledge (Jackfish has a good deal of experience) needs to be used in rerouting (after 34 yrs R pretty brittle if oem) or removing tham.

I like the idea offered here to do some research. I'm going to provided the link next....
