Hey guys new to the forum, just wanted to ask 2 questions. 1. when i give my car some gas the a/c stops blowing out the vents. is it a vacuum leak ??? ( it has a high performance cam in it) and if it is where would i look for it ?? 2. what is the correct size fuse for the clutch on the a/c ?

8) the fuse on most a/c systems is 15 or 20 amp as i recall. as for the other problem, what year car do you have? i know that is normal on the late models(starting in about 78 or 79) so as to minimize the drag on the engine when accelerating.

I have a 82 and that makes since on the vacuum, I have a 30 amp fuse now is that going to cause any problems??

It could be that the engine is not producing enough vacuum to operate the doors and flaps in the heater box anymore.

Or it could be a vacuum leak or misrouted vacuum hose on the heater/AC box.

Or if the car has vacuum canisters that store vacuum, one of them could be leaking.

Any of that could cause warm air to come out the vents even wheen the AC is working properly. Best bet is to find the vacuum line diagrams and start tracing hoses.
