Howdy:
I hope some of you have seen and read the article in this months issue of Hot Rod. It's the issue with the rat rod roadster pickup on the cover. Incidently with a Ford 300 six with three Falcon glass bowled Holley one barrels on the cover. Will wonders ever cease! Anyway, they ran an excellant article on valve springs, in general. It is a very good read.
Along the same line I recently received a tip that Chrysler 3.3 V6 engines have a beehive valve spring and retainer that is compatible with our 5/16" valve stems. I haven't had the time or the opportunity to check it out, so Please!!! Anyone with Mopar 3.3 V6 parts laying around, check it out and share your findings. Details like free length, diameter at the base and the top, and, If possible spring rates at open height of 1.22" and closed height of 1.59". And any other details of interest.
Thanks, in advance.
Adios, David
