Voltage Regulator

Hi All,

I was surfing the net and I found a solid-state external voltage regulator for all Ford cars '65-'86. It's at JC Whitney for $10 SKU 73ZX7134B. Has anyone tried this? I was considering such a system because my relatively new mechanical regulator was fluttering voltage at lower RPMs. I bought it anyway, should arrive this friday- next tuesday.

8) all ford alternator vreg's interchange through those years, so you dont have to get one from whitney, you can go to your local checker.

Use the electronic regulator, but remove its cover and replace with the cover from the electromechanical regulator. It will look original, but work longer and better.
