Attached is a picture of my 200 before I pulled the head. I want to change the straight fitting (red circle) to a 90° fitting because I want to route the heater hose (that comes from the cabin to the waterpump) on the passenger side.

I couldn't find a fitting yet that is long enough to clear the thermostat housing ... has anyone a recommendation where I can find the right fitting?

That's something I've thought about doing too. I've even heard of a (rare) factory part for that, maybe over at VMF. But the thread in the water pump is just standard pipe thread, 3/8 or maybe 1/2 inch. I cobbled together a few pipe fittings that look like it would work fine. I haven't installed it yet because I want to replace the hoses to my heater core before I hook it back up.

simple brass "L", a straight pipe like there using a 90* hose (preformed), a clip on VC that holds it as it crosses to the HC.
Mine has the bent fitting (Black plastic taken offa diesel) to go onto the pass's fender along w/the other heater hose. A gm hose hanger (space for both, a type of metal strap encircling that pops open w/a push) there.

That one-piece fitting does look nice, and is a real Ford part as well. I might look into one. But using pipe fittings to cobble it up will allow installation with the water pump on the engine, and also allow you to fine tune the height of the elbow.

I just shopped a bit and saw the part. Looks like some threadless tubing needs to be cut off the bottom of it to fit the six.
