well today sucked... heres the story... I was on my way to school, just like any other day, and I was maybe a half a mile tops from my parking spot at school and I was waiting for a light and I went to give it gas and it sputtered for a little bit and then started to go then stalled, so I pulled off to the side of the road and cranked it for awhile and looked down and saw I had gas and was tryign to get it to start and finally it started and I could give it gas to keep it running and eventuall yit was o.k. to idle on its own... so I figured o.k. it must have has some bad gas or something so I put it in drive and it stalled.. so I started cranking again and couldnt get it to start... so I called my dad and told him what happened so he came a little bit later. So he got there and I saw the motor was getting gas and we figured the msd must have crapped on me, my dad checked that we had spark... but we didnt. Fortunaley I left the old module on the car and left all plugs intact so we plugged it all back in and we had spark! but only for a second... next we tried the coil... I had my old one in my back seat and we hooked it up... still nothing... My dad ran home and got his portable ignition system and we hooked it up... ok we had real spark this time... and I got in cranked it and nothing.... it wouldnt start... so ok... maybe theres something wrong with the rotor... so we checked spark at the plug wires... nothing... ok it must be in the dizzy, so after awhiel we came up with the bright idea to even see that it was turning.. so once again I cranked it over... and my dad said to stop so now we narrowed t down some more, so I pulled the dizzy and had my dad look down the hole to see if he could see the cam spinning so I turned it over and heard him say a nice word he said to stop and come out here.... so I walked over and he said look athe the timing chain cover... so I look and there it was... nothing other than my camshaft... sticking out of my chain cover... so we loaded up gto a chain and puller her home. We figured out that the bolt on the end of the cam managed to break and right now I am unsure what all else is bent/broke... I am hoping everything is o.k. and it will be a simple pull motor go thru and reassemble... but I doubt it... hopefully all bearings are o.k., the billet dual roller adjustabel timing chain is o.k. and valve are nice n' straight, this means I CANT dyno my car tomorrow... goto the sonic show, OR go racing sunday... this sucks... but hey I did get out of school! and what a better time to get out the 85 lebaron convertible pimp mobile and build the WORLDS FASTEST TURBOCHARGED 6 BANGER 68 MUSTANG!!!
