Going to be starting to build a 200 for a bronco. 30 inch tires. 3.55 differential. C4 auto. I predict most of the engines use will be from idle to 3000 with 2200 to 2400 for driving around. I used a RPM calculator to work out RPM at speeds. Looking for driveability & economy. This will not be an off-roader. I have to drive it 1900 miles to Utah next year for speed week.
I have been reading threads on cams but they are falcon/mustang builds. Not sure what cam to get considering the bigger tires.

Must be a 200 six swap into an early v8 Bronco? That was what they used to call the rv cam in Clifford catalog. Maybe Clifford still has them.

As far as I know it had a 170 that was taken out for a v8 swap then it’s been some ones project for 30 years now my friend has it and wants me to build a 200 or 250 if one can be found. I figured I would start with a cam and build the motor around it

A good stock one!

The six cylinder Broncos had 4:11 gears. The v8 had 3:50.
The six could be ordered with 4:56, not sure about the v8 but probably lower gears could be ordered because it was originally a farm and ranch type vehicle.
What year is this Bronco?
A 200 with a c4 will be a little underwhelming even with 4:11. 4:56 might be ok. Broncos weigh close to 4000 lbs.
I doubt if it had a 170 with the c4 originally so curious how the c4 got in there.
Does it have a Dana 30 upfront?
Some more history would be helpful before you select a motor to build.

No idea exactly what he has. It came in 2 trailer loads. He gave me the info on the drive line he wants to use and I get to put a motor and a transmission together for it. I am not into broncos but I do like my inline 6 fords.

What year? Were they the same every year?
Seeing the tech data below, it would hardly matter, but do be aware that 200 cams in a 250 might run into clearance problems. However i think most aftermarket cams would be ground on 250 blanks. Something along the lines of a crowcams(Australia) 63651. I cannot tell you where you might get this, but surely some company in USA would have something similar.https://crowcams.com.au/product/ford-pre-crossflow-hydraulic-4
