FIRST LET ME SAY THANKS FOR ALL THE INPUT EVERYONE HAS HELPED ME WITH! I AM SWITCHING MY 170 1BBL WITH A 2BBL BUT I NEED HELP PICKING WHICH 2BBL TO BUY?

HI, PLEASE DON'T TYPE IN FULL CAPS, it hurts mine eyes.
For a 170, if it were me I'd go for something like a 32/36 mechanical progressive 2bbl. You can get one from Stovebolt for $65 (Holley Weber Carb) I believe he will still set the initial jets for your motor if you tell him what you are running when you order it.

You should get good economy while cruising down the highway and have extra umph when you need to get going.

What year vehicle and 170 engine are you working with? There may be compatibility issues with your distributor. Have you read the stickies at the top of this forum?

The Holley 2300 is a great carb. It is very tuneable. It will not be compatible with your Load-O-Matic distributor. If you use an adapter you may have hood clearance issues.

Have you considered upgrading to a one barrel from a car with 200 engine. It will flow more CFM, be a bolt-off/bolt-on upgrade, and be compatible with your L-O-M distributor. The Autolite 1100 is a very easy to work on, relatively simple, and readily available carb.
