What is the best inlet manifold for the Alloy Crossflow head about how much are they and were do you get them. I want to use my 500 holley (same inlet manifold as 350 holl).
Is there a water heated one available like the one on my 2V head. Are the Redline Hardiman ones always advertised in the mags OK.
One last question were the Iron head crossflows designed by Honda like the Alloy heads and were they as good.
Cheers Tim

I believe that Ford designed the iron head.

As to the fanimolds, The "Sprint" is probably the duck's guts for 2-barrel jobbies. Cain, Redline and someone else (maybe Stynx, too) all popped out 4-barrel ones at various times.

The Sprint is about $500, IIRC.

Adam.

Plug position in the cast iron cross flow was not as good, nor were the port profiles. It is much heavier than the alloy head (51 lb, 23 kgs), and has too much metal around the lifters to withdraw them without doing the head. No valve inserts for unleaded either.

But any polyspheric cross-flow head is a winner.

Polyspheric?!?!?!?! Good God! How did that ancient Mopar V8 get in here!
Good head design, to bad no one ever took any time with it.

John

Thanks for that I though IIRC was where they can be purchased.
Who is the supplier?

Cheers.

Checked an old post its called the Ultra flow limited sprint. Sounds good to me.
