NEED HELP i am in the process of buildig a 200 6 cylinder out of a 79 fairmont to put into a 63 falcon. when i found the motor the carb was missing. need to know which kind of carb. to use. the motor has duraspark ignition. from what i have read that makes a differance.any help will be greatly appriciated thanx stanley floyd

Hey, I have the carb that came off the engine that I'm rebuilding for my 65 stang. The engine came out of a 79 Fairmont, so it should be the exact one for the engine you have. It's used, but you can have it if you want.

The late 70's to early 80's carbs are set up for cable type throttle linkage
......You may be better off finding a carb that will work with the throttle linkage in your chassis.

am very interested in your carb. was it running when you removed it. let me know how much shipping would be to 32622 zip and i will get back with you, thanx stanley floyd

Actually I never saw the engine run. I bought it as a core to rebuild, and I'm doing a 2bbl conversion. It was totally complete from breather to oil pan, and from balancer to to C4 tranny. The guy I bought it from told me that it worked perfectly when he removed it. He pulled the entire drivetrain from the Fairmont to install a 5.0 and T5 combo.

Just PM me with an address and I'll ship it to you. We can figure out the shipping cost later. Shouldn't be much if we go UPS ground.
