If you have an older small log head and manifold you might want to stay with the Autolite or glass bowl Holley. If you have the big log head you could use than make use of the later model Holley's or YF Carter’s. With a little work you could make them all work good. If you decide not to go with the old glass bowls I could put them to good use on my 54 Customline.
As long as one would match up with the 54's stock Holley (also not a glass bowl) that would be the right one to fit on my Offy 2x1 intake though . Ok great will look too see if I still have an 1100 left or can find one.
or if you have 2 of any matching 1 bbl let me know, i have 5 carbs all together, i have 2 glass bowl type with metal bowl,( 2 autolite 1100, one rebuilt, one broken lever ), and one holley 1940, if you can get me 2 of the same carb, you can have all of these
I'm running those carbs. The only thing is you run two ICT's on either end and a ICH in the middle. The ICH has a manual choke. Where I live I'd have a very hard time getting it to run without that choke.
all would do fine im sure, especially on larger log. i myself plan on running 3 carter yf's on my build since i have quite a collection of them
i think ill just get some yf's or 1100 for now just to get it running and try the webers later, whatever gives me the best performance, i dont care about gas milage, just wana burn some rice
