i hate to sound dumb but im wondering what the difference in performance and flow between a 6 into 2 header and a 6 into 1 header...i really would like to know because im thinking of buying some...i already have a flowmaster 40's dual exhaust via y-pipe and it would really be alot easier if i get a 6 into 1 style header...if i go with a 6 ino 1 header would there be any significant power loss or flow loss...also on cliffords site they have the headers for $279 +$100 for the coating...is that coating absolutely necessary or is it just for looks or is it a good think to get?
thanks gary

8) the flow rates between the two headers will be similar as the 6-1 headers have a larger collector. the only problem is that when the exhaust flow hits the collectors it tends to swirl and create a bit of backpressure thus slowing the exhaust flow a bit. power output though will be similar.

thanks for the info...i think ill go with the 6 into 1 header...by the way with the pacemaker headers, i know that they have a 6 into 2 and then they have a y pipe to make it single...is that worth getting over the cliffords?

8) i dont recall the price from clifford on their headers, but people have been mentioning of late that clifford is not as reliably quike as they used to be as far as delivery goes. i like the pacesetter header, and the Y pipe will make it easy to connect to your single exhaust. for $260 i say go for it.
