i don't even know where to start looking this is the first car iv'e ever had and i want to put it together on my own (with help from experienced people of course) but I'm already stuck. :(

63 Drop Top is right. You should be able to get motor mounts at your local parts store, or they should be able to get them for you if they don't have them in stock.

I was new to working on my car in the last couple of years. If you are new to all this, try to remember that sometimes at auto parts stores, some of the counter people aren't that helpful, and will somtimes know little or nothing about a fourty year old car. But if you keep trying, you usually can get what you are looking for. See if there is a store where the people are knowledgeable and if you aren't getting what you need, ask if anyone there works on classic cars. Those are the guys that usually will go out of their way to help you out.

Good Luck,
Ryan

Just order a catalogue from NPD, California Mustangs or Virginia Mustang and leaf through the various sections. This will give you an idea of what is available and what the stuff looks like. In fact, new motor mounts for a 66 Mustang are available most of the parts houses: Larry's, Virginia Mustang, California Mustang, etc, etc. Check out the online stores too, like Mustangs Plus. They have pix of all those things.

thanks everyone i tried going to the local shops and everyone just looked at me like an idiot and told me to put a V8 in but i want something different so no luck there i'll try ordering the catalogs
