where do the ring gaps go?

ok so I started putting together my "reman" EFI test mule motor today. my rebuild kit had no diagram showing where to place ring gaps (and no mention in the instructions that were there)

is there anything wrong with the top ring at say 10:30 second ring at 1:30 and oil rings facing the rear of the motor? (assuming the front of the motor is 12:00)

I`ve always been told to space them 90* to 120* apart.

engine orientation does not matter, provided the individual orientation of each ring (on one piston) is separated by about 120deg. Basically, as long as the gaps don't line up, you're safe.
