Where does factory throttle return spring connect? This is on a 1967 Mustang

I know where it goes on the carb side but the other end on my car is connected to one of the header bolts. Is it because there are headers and the factory exhaust had a place to hook the spring?

I wonder if getting hot and cold all the time could make the end of the spring break off? then either stuck throttle or no go.

Both not great.

Any ideas? Thanks!

yeah, on mine i hooked it on the end of my intake log, where the freezeplug goes. seems to work ok.

Actually just had the same issue. Obviously the trhottle control arm has a hole in it, and then if you look below on the exhaust pipie mine had a hole in the outside, which would fit a spring very easily. Seems to work well, used a generic 4/18" throttle return spring. I will say I am not a mechanic, so this may be the wrong area, but it works fine on my 66.

Hi all, my throttle spring is connected to a bracket under the second bolt from the front of the exhaust manifold.
