Why does'nt the spark plug break in the combustion chamber?

With all of the pressures made in a combustion chamber, it surprises me that the electrode does not break right off...

As easily as they are bent to change spark plug gap, how is it possible that the electrodes don't break off in the combustion chamber?

well, when the pressure builds with compression, it's equal everywhere, and when there's an explosion the safest place to be in it is the exact center of the originating point because all the force is going out from that point

Actually it can....I guess it just depends of how it gets in there....last year when my friends' 331 stroker let go one of the sparkplugs completely lost the porcelain, the only thing left was the metal still threaded to the head.....he was using the 250 Hp jets.....
