was the 250 ever available in a fox bodied car?mustang?fairm

They were not, the 250 was discontinued in the Grenada right before the Fox platform was introduced. Your next best bet would be full sized Torinos/Rancheros from the early/mid 70's (and I don't know what they used).

mustang II had em, but I don't know the orientation of the oil pan.
Foxes only came with a 200, mustangs/capri's only between 80 and 82.

"Stang II was a V6 or OHC4. The Fox 'Stang and Comets got the metric 200 or 3.3 ltr. It was different then the regular 200
