what would be the best ignition system for a 200 soon to be 250 engine that i have plans to build up?

any help will be greatly appreciated Thanks ahead of time

The best ignition system to go with would be an electronic ignition system. It is your choice whether you want to go with a Pertronix setup or a DuraSpark setup. Pertronix is cheaper and easier to install and basically keeps a stock look. DuraSpark costs more and is somewhat more complicated to setup. It does not appear stock either. You will have to do some reading about both setups to see which one best suits your needs.

There's also the Crane XR700. More expensive than the pertronix but you can pick it up at most auto stores. I think I prefer my xr700 over my pertronix. Only problem is that it does have more wires and you have to mount the box somewhere.
