1963 Falcon head on 1968 Mustang

Hi,

fits and operating a 1963 Falcon 6-cylinderhead (C3DE-6090-D) on a 1968 Mustang 6-cylinder engine ?

From what I have read here and in the Falcon six performance book, it will fit and work. I think you will raise compression as well, but the smaller log intake and smaller valves of the '63 head will choke off any gains you will see from the higher compression.

As far as I know, the 68 Mustang engine has hydraulic lifters and the engines previous years (before 1964 ?) of construction mechanical adjustable lifters. Fits the Falcon cylinder head anyway?

Gene45 is correct.

Either use the 68 rocker arm shaft and 68 pushrods, or... use the 63 rocker arm assembly and the 63 pushrods.
