200 ci New Exhaust Manifold Need

Hi All,

Bad news today...I took my car in today where it had its engine rebuilt and the mechanic/machinist told me i had a welded, then cracked exhaust mani...apparently it's cracked all around! He told me thse things are difficult to find. Any suggestions for a good replacement part/cost...i.e. if i move ot headers, can i get anything decent for $200-$300....or where can i find a new exhaust manifold??

Just visit the classified section of this website, you can find an exhaust manifold with no problem. If you can't find on on the for sale items page, then make a post on the "wanted" section and someone will definitly get back to you about it. Theres a lot of people on here switching over to headers and most of them still have their old exhaust manifold. Or if your wanting to purchase a header check out:

I had a horrible knocking sound and that's what led me to take this back to the machinist that rebuilt my 200 only 500 miles ago....he told me that aside from a cracked manifold i had my timing advanced 20 degrees!!!!!!!! Funny because he timed it only 500 miles ago and I haven't touched the timing at all....I'm still trying to decipher between engine knockin from advanced timing and an exhaust leak....what should I expect to hear with a cracked manifold??? By the way, he retimed it for me and my "knockin" has disappeard it seems...so that must have been it. but looks as though I need to go for another mani or headers soon!!
