I am acquiring this little 200 six in a trade. We know little about it other than it was swapped in favor of a V8. Unsure of the car it came out of. Block code is a C6DE 6015B. I have a "Sweaty" 1948 Ford F1 half ton truck I was going to build and put an LS into, but the coolness factor of this what may appear to be a hot rodded 200 just seems more period correct. It might not scoot like an LS engine, but no one will be expecting to see this little guy under the hood. Frankly, it has a little more HP (when it was stock) than the flat head 6 that came out of the 3300lb truck.
My question to you guys is, you just got this engine. "What would you do"? As soon as I get it home, I want to pull the plugs and take a look at them to see how it was burning, squirt a bit of oil in the cylinders, crank it and check compression and oil pressure. Then maybe, fire it up.
No telling what internals it might have though....
