200 Timing Chain Replacement

I will provide pictures later, but does anyone have a simple way to make sure the crank/cam is synchronized on a 200? I know there is a small "indentation" on the crank drive gear, however I cannot find the corresponding one on the cam drive gear...and I have spun the gears several times looking for it...

Is the timing as simple as a V8 (align the gear keys till they are directly inline with each other), or am I way off mark!
