the cars nearly ready now. i will let you know how it goes. does anyone kow where i can get a chrome airfilter to fit it? what brand?

got it running on the weekend, it sounds nice, nice and responsive. havent driven it on the road yet, still need to put the guards on.
we worked out the throttle linkage so no dramas.

I got a pretty low sitting air cleaner from repco, no idea what part number or brand now tho. Sits about an inch and a half below the carb flange, with a slightly bigger dome in the top half.
What I would do is make a custom one.
Something like a bit of tube with the same width as the carby flange, then cut a whopping big hole in the side of it and tig some more tube (squished down I guess) to the side of it, flare it out or whatever to fit a cone style (pod) filter, should do the job.
And any machine shop or engineer should beable to do it cheap as chips, particularly if you get them interested in your project and they decide to do it as a homer, hell it might even be free
