I'm planning to put a 2bbl carb (probably a Weber 32/36) on an 80's model 200 I6 I'm putting together to drop into my Bronco at some point. The 170 in it now is having some carburetor issues, so I was wondering if I picked up the carb and adapter now, could I use it on the old '68 model 170. I pretty much know didly squat about carbs, so pardon my ignorance. If it would require a lot of extra work, I'll pass. But, if it would bolt up without too much trouble, I might try to go ahead and try it.

The adapter and carb will fit both the 170 and 200. The linkage is about the only problem and its pretty easy. Go ahead and put it on the 170 and you'll have it when the 200 is ready.

Your welcom.
The Bronco brethren are taking over this site.
Mine is a 74 with a 200. What is your truck?

Ha! Us Bronco 6 bangers seem to be a rare breed! I doubt there's enough of us to take over this bunch

I picked up a '68 a couple of months ago. It has a lot of problems that need to be addressed. So, I'll be doing a little at a time as $ become available. I had the great opportunity to pick up a free 200 that a local Bronco owner pulled out for a V-8 swap. Plan to drop it in later on, after I work out a few more of the issues. BTW, I'm in central Arkansas. I see you're in West TN, so that makes us practically neighbors! :) Maybe I'll see you on the trails someday.

You'll probably need to do some jetting, but there's a good sticky at the top of this forum.

Have fun!
