I picked up a nice Fairmont that has the stock YFA Carter on it , carb was nasty and did not survive machining the lower base so it would seal 
Question is, I picked up a new carb for it but the exaust manifold I was going to use has the hot air tube for the choke not only rotted off but the divider between the two center ports is blown out completely. I can have the manifold machined but will have to plug off the hot air tube completely to make it work . The air pump is gone as well so using the emission system is out , not that I wanted it anyway. I'm curious if I can either modify the carb or just plug off the emission ports to make this carb work? Just trying to get the peices together and get this thing running soon ....
