Hey, does anybody know approximately how much I need to shave off this 80 250 head---to adapt my 2300 2v carb? looks like about 3/8" or there about. How should it be done,,milled,,surface ground?

On second thought I may not shave it...just use a holley 2v adaptor--but my studs center to center are 3 and 5/16ths not 3 and 5/8ths that clifford sells..though it does say drill your own holes. Are there any cheaper adaptors out there? Is this the adaptor for my 2300 : : Sorry for all the questions but hey, that's what I am here for---there is very little I can answer..
