Adapter sealant

What brand of sealant should I use when I mount my 2BBL adapter plate directly to the "log"? Or should I just use a gasket between the two?

i would use a gasket. got mine at napa for a few dollars.

Buy some gasket material & make your own gaskets! I shmutz both sides of the gaskets liberaly with Permatex #2

I've tried 6-8 different sealents and this stuff seems to work the best!

Failing that, the Hylomar Universal Blue is not too bad. Non hardening and fuel resistant. Just that I'm unsure where it's stocked in the US. Permatex is certainly easier to obtain!

BTW a few people have had trouble finding out about their Nos. 2&3 sealants - they're listed (below) as an aviation part.
