Air cleaner question

Hello all. I have the air cleaners that come with the webers for the tri-carb setup. Today i went to put them on, and the bottom part which looks like it is suppose to slide onto the carb does not slide on. I am not sure if i should bend it to see if it will slide on. If someone knows what to do please let me know.

I'm sorry I can't help beyond that as I used a Ford Cobra Oval Air cleaner.

Are you sure you have the right adapter plate?

Thanks. i found the answer. There was a piece on the top of the carb that comes off. so now it fits.
