i bought a 3 gauge set a while back and got an ammeter. well during that time period i forgot how to read it. all i know is that negative is good. is there a certian reading to be looking for? all i have added electrically is a cd player and swapped out the generator with a GM altenator which is internally regulated.
also, is this sucker hard to hook up? i'm a little confused. from the diagram on the instructions its A goes to the positive on battery or solenoid, but where does the other go? something about the altenator. here is the link for the diagram... http://hp.autometer.com/instructions/00 ... uction.pdf
ok.... so the power goes to the ammeter, then from the ammeter to the altenator? is this correct? like the ammeter is between the power and the altenator?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
