How did you hook up the heater core hose to the head? An adapter to the head or drill and tap it out? Thanks!

OK - here you go:

One side from the heater core goes into the water pump.

The other side from the heater core goes into the head on the passenger side at the front of the head.

I did not have to tap anything. I used the adapter that was on my original head for the connection to the OZ head.

You da man! Vin, that third one down is the ticket. On mine the hole is really small and I'm having a hard time getting a fitting for it. I guess I'll use an adapter to blow it up enough to get the 5/8" hose barb in. Thanks a bunch for taking the time to get those shots!

No problem. Is the head already installed on the engine? If not, it might be worth it to take to machine shop and have them drill it out and tap it. You don't want to limit the coolant flow.

Also, you can see on mine there is a plugged port on the thermostat housing. Do you have the same? IF so, couldn't you run the line there?

It's not a good idea. You would only get defrost when the thermostat was open. On some V8's this might be okay but on my 6 (170) it has a hard time producing enough heat to keep the thermostat open in warm weather.

Makes sense. I figured since it was on the radiator side of the thermostat it might be a problem. Thanks for the clarification.
