Well, I have been driving the new 200 I dropped into my 66 Mustang. I'll try to get some more pics up. I've driven it to school, so I did make it from point A to point B, but I thought I should ask you guys about some problems I am having.
1. The car is shaking, a lot. I noticed that when I'm driving, there is a noticeable "shake" to it that goes in rhythm with the RPM. I can be going 50 mph, and it won't do it (a lot) if I'm not pushing the gas. But if I'm hitting the gas hard at 25 mph, it's shake shake shake shake...
2. The idle mixture screw seems to be really screwed up. We can screw it all the way in and all the way out with almost no change. I wonder if perhaps the float is too high? That is a wild guess though.
3. The engine sounds WONDERFUL at idle, and when I drop it in gear, it drops the RPMs a lot. It still runs well, but it seems like it should not be so low. It's also a little sluggish. It really responds well in idle, but not in gear.
Now, I think I have the solution to that problem, so let's see how close I am
----------
I still have the Load-O with the H/W 5200. If I remember correctly (it's been a while), it will do this - sound great in idle, but when driving it is a little sluggish. Is this true?
If so, will it hurt anything to drive it around like this for a little while till I can get my DSII distrubutor to work? I don't mind driving a sluggish car; it feels great after 6 months to have a car that drives!
Thanks guys, sorry for the long post.
