brake pedal swap manual-automatic

hey im switching to an automatic on my 67 mustang from a 3 speed to a c4 and i need to ditch the clutch pedal is there a way to pull it out without having to buy a different pedal support. i know that the brake pedal is narrower but that i know can be swapped

Sawzall comes to mind (reach in there and cut it off up where you can't see it, or simply remove all the linkage from the clutch pedal assem. and bolt the 2 pedals together.
