i put a new starter on, and i wasn't getting fuel to the carb, now i put a new diaphram on the carb, had small hole in it...getting fuel now, but still won't turn over....anything else i can check...i have put new spark plugs in and have petronex 2 ignition on distibutor.....any ideas?????

i wasn't getting fuel but fixed the diaphram in the carb, now that is working fine and it's getting fuel, the engine is turning really good, i guess i do need to make sure i am getting a spark...logical i guess...i can just take out a spark plug and leave the wire on and turn the engine to see if i'm getting a spark right???

i real fun way to do it is to get someone that you don't like that much and get him to hold onto the spark plug boot and ground themself on the chasis. the turn the key, really fun, atleast funny to watch

It needs to be grounded to the engine like it would be in the head, but yeah.

Good luck!

I usually just pull the coil wire off the dizzy and slide the boot up so I can see the terminal and just hold it back a bit and crank.

got it started...the coil wire was not connected very well...got her running, now just got tranny leak
