car not starting update

I change the coil,points and distributor cap today and got it to start but If I want to keep it running I need to hold the gas pedal down once I let go of the gas it shut off. The choke seems to be staying open.Am running is a weber 2 barrel electric carb. Almost there lol

Timing? More initial advance?

The high revs pull it over to where it runs better. For me, the diz was bumping into the block and I couldn't get enough initial advance at idle so I had to re-stab it a couple of times to move the gear back a notch. Plus, the outer ring of your damper with the TDC mark may have wandered and it is not quite to original spec.
