steve, go to the wrecking yard and find an old maverick or comet, and take the pedal, linkage and mounting bracket. or check the buy and sells... i think granada/monarch might be the same too.....

or you can go aftermarket cable setup.

I bought a 69 gas pedal off ebay and plan to install that along with Lokar cables when I convert my 1100 to a 2100. I'll have to drill a hole in the firewall to route the throttle cable.

Get the whole setup from a Granada, including the pedal and engine mounting bracket. I used this setup on my 66 Ranchero and it worked well. You will have to modify the engine bracket where it bolts to the carb base.

I think my Carter RBS has similar issues so here is how I did it- I went to the 'yard and from a 72 Maverick picked up the accelerator cable, pedal, and carb linkage for 10 bucks. I am pretty sure that any cable linkage off a 200 or 250 from an early 70's Ford/Mercury will work such as Granada, Monarch, Maverick, Comet, etc. - just get one that looks like the one pictured below:

Here is the completed setup.
