carb orientation

I messed with my carb this weekend. I have a 200cid ina Bronco with a stovebolt adapter and a weber 32/36. Well, I removed the base plate and put the adapter directly on the intake. I re-routed the linkage and lines and all seems to run well. My question is will it hurt for my carb to at a 45 deg. angle to the intake? All is level, just cantered. Everything sat at 90deg befor. Will this matterin performance and in hills. Thanks

Shouldn't make that big a difference.

Which way was the float bowl facing? If you went from float-bowl-forward to float-bowl-angled, you *might* have issues with stumbling on hard left turns - something that some folks with sideways-facing float bowls have. If so, the fix is to lower the float height.
