I think someone has asked this before but...does anyone on this forum fabricated and sell a carburetor plate for direct mounting to the log?

-Chris

You talking about one that removes the OE carb mounting boss and then mounts directly to the log with a larger opening? Nobody does that I am aware of, Mustang Geezer has some pics and it might be covered in the falcon performance handbook. I think most that have done it just made their own.

I dont think anybody makes (for sale) 1 to 2v adapters either, only DIYers like myself and people who bought them (like myself)

YES.

I have the handbook but IIRC it just shows the modification but that's it. I thought sense some have done it that maybe someone might have sold them at one time.

Okay, thanks anyway.

Doug has made a couple of 1bbl adapters and sent them to me so that I could make them but haven't spent much time with it. What specifically are you looking for?

Al

Well...I would like to adapt my Autolite 2V directly to my '77 flat log head.

I don't know if the bolt pattern is the same but I am also looking at the Holley/Weber 5200 carburetor for this particular application as well.

that is my next project to do , make a under plate that wil fit the big and small log head , and make a adapter plate for adapting multiple carbs and make a conisch form between it , so you got 2 adapter plates and a conisch form , to only thing you have to do is weld the plate,s on the conisch vorm any posision you want , and with any bolt pattern you want , i,m just into it , it wil be verry cheap parts , but firts to finish my T9 project ,

btw AL question , i got an idee for attaching a cable clutch to a bell house , will fit all the belhouses with the linkage clutch setup , no drilling only bolton , with a bracket to attacht the clutch pedal , no drilling just a bolt on cable kit !!! i will work this out in a draw and will send it too ye , look into it and give me some thoughts , ok ? btw also did make for my clutch fork a bracket with poly urethane bushing , so no more ratteling from the clutch fork , just drill the old 1 out with the stupid spring on it that hold the cluch fork and bolt this bracket in ,securesd with a hardend steel pin here is a proto type [ test ]

btw dont mind the welding ,it whas only a test for right hight and lengte !

Fora 2bbl adapter to mount right to the log, you'd have to have the head machined somewhere for it. If so, then that same machinisr could carve one out of aluminum in under an hour, IMO.

Harrie,

I'm always interested in anything you have to show :D

I'm currently in the process of modifying a 3.03 bellhousing into a Cable-clutch, T-5 bell for Jimbo65. I'm adding a ball pivot to the inside of the bell and a cable mounting point to the side of the bell. I will be using a late model clutch fork as well. I'll post pics this weekend of it.

Al

ball pivot , yea i did try that 1 to , but to center the clutch fork whas a problem the ball insertion was direct in the hole for fasten the bellhouse !
that,,s why i did the other project i,m into now, ,maybe it will do with another type bellhouse , but the 1 i got didn,t ! to close to the hole,s to droill ore weld a ball pivot !
btw
tower brace test fitt!
