Custom Dual Exhaust

Hey guys,

I thought someone on this forum said that they had used a muffler from a mid 80's camero to setup their dual exhaust system. Can anyone confirm this?

Hi stang200,

Yes. I am using a Clifford 6x1 header and a 2.5" exhaust system that runs single pipe from the header to a 1985 Camero 1 in, 2 out muffler. This muffler is used on vertually all V8 Cameros during this series (don't know what years other than '85). Specifically, I use a Dynomax. This muffler installs in the exact same location as the stok unit. Installation is very clean. Dual out exhaust flows through GT valance. Sound is low / deep. I am very happy with it.
