Drop in Idle while raining

I actually live in battle ground too, and the potluck is a cool idea. Well there is another 6 cyl mustang at clark helped him out with a dead battery one once when his alternator bit the dust.

So is this flapper system what they started using rather than the carb heater plate? Hope you get it working, but it kind of seems like a shame to add vacume lines to such a nice simple little engine. Then again it beats adjusting the idle everytime it rains around here which is alot!

ya i hope it works its kind of annoying to have it idle at 500 in the rain. its just one more vacuum line much like the distributor probably wont notice it what i will notice however is my vacuum booster line that's going to have to run all the way to the front of my engine. my vacuum port is at the front of my head not the rear :bang: :bang:

B4 the vacuum operated 1 wasn't the lill lever-that-flipped-the-door servin the same purpose? U could do it manually once the rain starts? I remember those vacuum 1s - it's a lill round black tin pill box shaped thing?

ya that's the one i could set it up but that's a extra cable hooked to my air cleaner and i dont need that as it is it will be a hose and vacuum line there but those are easy to take off

not sure if U were talkin 2 me X , in that last post.

"the lill lever-that-flipped-the-door" U just open the hood & flip the lever. Not so great (cuz it's rainin & U gotta dick around there) but avoids the extra crap on ur motor??
I didn't mean w/a cable (or may B that's not what U mean either /or/ were respondin 2 another post). Now I know why "a pic is worth..."

Time for bed, see ya

anyone know what kind of temp the the outside of the exhaust will see? looking at painting the bracket when it gets here but need to choose a good paint that will not burn offi was looking at VHT Caliper pain (900 degree) or their flame proof stuff good up to 2000 degrees tho might not be able to cure it properly

The Cal. paint won't do it exhaust will be much hotter go for the high temp VHT 2000

ok thanks, that might get put on the back burner when i get it my brake swap should be here soon and my limited money will probably go to getting the last of the parts i need plus swapping my tires over to my "new" maverick rims. minimum wage sucks. even when its 9.04 a hour
