DS2 Wireing

Okay I think I have it right.

The ignition box has 2 wires to the starter ignition, S and I, then a coupler to to the wireing harness, one wire going to the negative of the coil. the old positive of the DUI goes to the new positive on the coil, the DSII is plugged in and pointed in the general direction of where the dui was. but it's not sparking, hooked up a timing light and it's not sparking...

I know the DSII came from a mav, I think it worked before but lets asume it wasn't, i have new cap/rotor/plugs think the ignition module might be bad? or i wired it wrong...

Sorry I have nothing useful to add here, but if i am reading this right, you are replacing a DUI setup for DS2?

I personally think the DS2 is a wonderful ignition aside from being a PIA to recurve, but what was the problem with the DUI and the switch to the DS2 if you don't mind sharing?

Can't guarentee this, but I am fairly certain that he sold his DUI with 7 pin module with the EFI setup that he sold recently. So he is going with the D2 because he no longer owns the DUI.

Thread where he build the TBI and recently updated that it has been sold

the mustang has a dsII and holley 350cfm carb now... gotta get the dsII rebuilt....

Thanks all for the info, I know the new owner of the system might have a few questions, think he'll might get on here.

yup sry for l8 reply, been busy...

the DUI was modified for the fuel injection, figured it would be best to replace it with a DS2 and get over the counter parts little more easily... and keep it a ford...

that link really helped thx!!!

pulling the DS2 today and hopefully shipping it today or tomorrow for re-curve. I think my wiring is correct... but it's still not firing... so I'll get it rebuilt first.
