I'm sure this subject has been beat to shreds, but anyone who hasn't done this yet needs to do it !! I am amazed at how much easier it starts, and I think my fuel milage improved a bit.

I also install my DS II about 2 weeks ago. Your right, start-up is a wow. I can't seen to keep my foot out of the gas. What initial timing and spark plug gap did you set.

It's a great upgrade, what module did you guys use. I am swapping from the GM to the yellow Ford(if I can find the vacuum sensor MarkP.) so I can get the 2 degree retard while cranking and the mpg boost when cruising.

I used the GM Module. I want an MSD 6a module, but at $149 it a low priority. Does you RPM jump around on start-up for a few seconds?

No the idle is stable, you do need to reset your timing after the conversion.

I have a free autolite 2100 coming from a buddy's 69 302. I think it has a holley bolt pattern; thus a clifford holley 2-v adapter enroute.

I figure the manifold vacuum is a sure loser for my loadomatic.

is it conventional wisdom for a 65-66 200 to upgrade carb and distributor simultaneously? it seems necessary.
