I need some help locating the info on this ID
C6DE6015-B
Please help..ZZ

That's just the casting number, and all it will tell you is the year it was cast, and vehicle it was originally desinged for. In this case, it's a 66 block intended for a Falcon.

That's a start. But, I need to know what size the engine is. My manual doesn't go to a '66. So, I can't cross reference it to find a chart to locate what each letter means. Do you know on the web where it has one? I looked with no success...ZZ

look on the passenger side of the enging behind/under the exhaust manifold and count the freeze plugs. If it has 3 it's a 170,if it has 5 it's a 200.

I have the #. It's in the first thread. But, what does it translate to?..ZZ

it's a 170 or a 200 I'm not sure thats why I need you to look and see about the freeze plugs.Thats the easiest way to tell as far as I know and be sure beyone a shadow of a doubt.

I read it too fast. I thought you wanted me to look for the numbers...AR AR AR. I 'll check and count the plugs. Thanx..ZZ
