Engine running rich???

Last week I fixed a vacuum leak, the engine ran rich at idle. Today I pulled the float needle and cleaned it. I opened the radiator cap to find the coolant was down about a gallon. Not good. I then did a compression test and found the cylinders 115, 122, 122, 122, 122, 120. That takes care of a head gasket.
The engine runs fine at speed but runs rich at idle. I'm sure it's rich at speed, too. Just to see if the coil was bad, I swapped it out to see if that was the problem, nope! Tomorrow, I'm changing the spark plugs, what else should I look at?
Thanks,
Ken

Thanks Bubba22349,
I hadn't thought about the float. I am also going to feel the passenger side floor to see if the heater core is leaking!

I think the Vacuum leak caused a backfire and that killed my power valve. Yesterday I changed the heater core and today I changed the power valve. The car now has heat and when idling doesn't leave its mark on the driveway!!!!!!
Thanks,
Ken
