Any ideas on why my 200 CI Mustang smokes after it idles awhile? It seems to be okay when it first starts but then as I drive it and sit at a stop light and then go, it will blow some blue smoke. Once I am driving again, it seems to get better. Thoughts?
Forgot to mention that the engine runs great otherwise. Starts right up and idles smoothly. Has a newer Holley 490? one barrel carb with an auto choke.
What you are describing sounds like worn valve guides, leaking valve seals, worn rings, worn bore, poorly performing PCV valve or a combination of all three.
