Fan Spacer Needed???

I am running a dual pulley setup on my 200.

Is there a fan spacer between the pulley and the fan blade?

If so, what what the stock thickness?

Just changed mine to a double pulley this morning. 1" spacer worked for me leaving 1" fan to radiator. That's on my Bronco w/aluminum 3 core rad. Your vehicle may require diff spacer, but easy to find at parts store.

The stock spacer is somewhere around 5/8" to 3/4" IIRC. Nowhere near an inch. I had to take the spacer and add-a-pulley off in order to run my 3-core radiator.

Well, for some reason the fan was hitting the damper face and I do not know why. I did change from a single to a double pulley to add A/C later. I checked the height of the single vs dual pulley and it was exactly the same. I am running the aftermarket dual damper from Mike but not sure if that was the problem. I located a 1/2" spaceer at Loper's Speed Shop and will put that on for now. I am going with an aluminum 2 core later.

What is strange here is that I pulled the dual off of a 66 Mustang 200. The fan blade is off of my 64 Ranchero V8 but it has the same configuration as the 6.

Anyone reading this thread that has a dual pulley setup, please chime in and let me know if you are running a spacer or not please.

Thats the reason I had to use a spacer, my fan hit the balancer too. My new pulley is a billet one so its a little thicker. I could have used a shorter spacer, but I already had the one I took off the single pulley.
